Local Charity Bootcamp & BBQ Breakfast Event To Raise Funds For FebFast
Supporting Young Aussies
The fundraiser is being held in South Yarra, Australia Day, and is intended to be a fun and social way to introduce an effective alternative to boring gym workouts and at the same time help young Aussies have the opportunity for a happy, healthy and productive life.
January 26, 2012- Melbourne, VIC Gary Wagner of ‘juggernautPT’ Boot Camp, announces the “Assisting Aussies” charity event will be held this Australia Day, aimed to raise money for Febfast. The purpose of the event is twofold and is also meant to promote fitness as part of a healthy lifestyle for the community.
Febfast was founded by Fiona Healy and comes from the point of view that individual choices should be respected and responsibility should be taken for personal decisions. The idea of the organization is for people to fast from drinking through the month of February and the simple act of becoming a faster puts people in a space where they can make their own decisions about alcohol consumption and what it means for them personally while at the same time raise funds for organizations that reduce the impacts of drug related problems amongst young people.
"The current economic state has drastically reduced the amount of donations being made to charities and non-profit organizations. So we've decided to kill two birds with one stone.” states Gary Wagner. “This is fitness with a purpose”, Gary goes on to say, “by encouraging locals to join fitness boot camp people are encouraged in helping others while all profits of the $20 fee go to Febfest.”
Gary Wagner has been involved as a local fitness expert and owner of juggernautPT Boot Camps, in Melbourne for five years. He began juggernautPT Boot Camps with a vision to create a new type of workout with an uplifting alternative to the current health and fitness clubs.
The “Assisting Aussies” charity bootcamp will be held at Como Oval North, 150 Alexandra Avenue, South Yarra. The event will take place from 8am on the 26th of January. Boot camp activities include fun exercises in a group atmosphere designed to burn fat, firm and tone the entire body and will also include a catered BBQ Breakfast after the session.
"This is just a fun and social way to introduce an effective alternative to the boring gym workouts and at the same time help young Aussies have an opportunity for happy, healthy and productive life" explains Gary Wagner. "Honestly, I can't think of a better way to both make a difference in one’s health, and in the life of disadvantaged kids."
