I’m grateful for having met my life-long partner – my wife – who still wanted to marry me when I was diagnosed with MS. She has supported me and stuck by me through the years of struggle. I’m grateful that we have been able to turn our lives around, MS is in the background and we have a beautiful son. We now lead a life full of positivity focusing on what I can still do and not what I can’t.
I’m also grateful that I have a very supportive employer, understanding my individual needs which makes it possible for me to continue working full time. I’m grateful to technology for inventing a device which assists me to stay on my feet and keep walking with a walking stick.
I’m now grateful for the simple things in life, often taken for granted, such as walking, playing in the park with my son, going to the movies, all of which MS has stolen from me.
