Live from bootcamp!

If you enjoyed it last time, here is another broadcast live (well almost) from an express bootcamp session!

Get ready!

12.30: Meet up time at Treasur Gardens. The calm before the storm!

12.33: first run - easy, just enough to warm up.

12.36: in for 2 minutes of squats. Seems like a breeze at the start, but soon legs are starting to burn.

12.38: no time to rest, we're sent off on another run around the infamous triangle at Treasury Gardens.

12.42: time for star jumps. Great way to get the heart pumping, not such a great way view for anyone having their lunch in the park.

12.45: No need to tell us, we know what we are in for: more running. Let's go!

12.48: On for sit-ups. Would be easier if we were allowed to face down-hill. But then again, why would Mitch want to make it easier for us?

12.50: up and go. Luckily the hilly part is at the beginning of the run making it just that little bit easier to get over the hurdle.

12.53: Shoulda seen them coming: the grunts. Nothing can be done about that, I still dislike them as much as I did at the start. But there's no way out.

12.55: 3 minutes of you know what.

12.58: I don't think my body is designed for plank-holds, because after weeks of practising, it's still not holding much or at least not for very long. My arms quickly turn to jelly, stomach sinking to the ground and... collapse! Game over, try again!

13.01: Just when you thought you could start relaxing and getting into cool down mode, here comes the sprint. The sprint to the big tree at the back of the park. As fast as you can, give it all you got!

13.03: Sprinting isn't usually my favourite, but it feels great to get to the tree first and not coughing my lungs up. It's as good a way to notice increased fitness level as any.

13.05: OK, maybe it would have been a good idea to let us know beforehand that there wasn't going to be just one sprint.

13.10: Back and forth, back and forth. I'm all sprinted out. Not surprisingly, I'm running slower every time... Not much sprinting happening during the last sprint!

13.12: Alright, here we go, my favourite part of the session: Stretches!

13.16: Luckily, I still have a little bit of energy left to jog/power walk home and be done with exercise for the day!
