Rob's Story

If you are not willing to put in some hard work, if you don’t want to make the most of your hard earned cash, if you don’t plan on going to every session no matter what...

...then don’t bother reading any more of what I have written. Don’t waste your time. Stay as you are – just be happy with who you are.

On the other hand, if you want to change your life around, if you are motivated to move mountains to get there, if you want tears of joy at the end of about 12 weeks, to walk around with a smile on your face, have colleagues and friends telling you, ‘you look terrific!', 'what have you done?', 'where the hell have you been?'

If you want, inner satisfaction as well as have a noticeable change in your appearance at your workplace – then Gary’s Boot camp is for you.

Before

After

I am a 39 year old office worker. Seeing myself and others around me getting larger in size made me feel uncomfortable with my self image. I wouldn’t exercise because most people around me were getting larger also, so it was a happy acceptance. We were fat and comfortable being around each other. Also, office ethics allow you to eat and put on as much weight as you want without one insult granted.

It is a good life except this makes us ignore our health and, whether you like it or not, may also shorten our life expectancy. You may think, this guys going a bit over the top now. But am I?

Your heart is a muscle, and if you stop exercising that muscle, you will certainly feel it when you get that cold, or go for a simple walk along the street. No exercise means your heart may find it difficult to work during tough periods. During the hard times your heart becomes over worked and stresses.

So now you tell me. I am sure you will still live a great life to 60, maybe even 70, but don’t just have a good life - love being alive. They come hand-in-hand, hopefully each and every one of you lives a long and healthy life of 80-90.

12 weeks of Boot Camp to maybe gain 10-20 years - doesn’t sound too bad to me.

Why am I boasting about Gary’s Boot Camp? I was unsure whether to sign up. I thought, ‘how embarrassing if my work colleagues see me training’, 'is it worth it – handing over money for 12 weeks Boot Camp?’. Even if I didn’t mind the small amount of money you have to put forward, or didn’t get embarrassed, I wondered, 'will Boot Camp really help me?'

I had feelings that it might be like The Biggest Loser, not much professionalism and just pushing you until you can’t take anymore.

Well... Wasn’t I wrong.

I paid my money, and thought – ‘we’ll see what happens’. I didn’t have much faith, but what did I have to lose? Only Kilos.

Before

After

It was raining on the first day of Boot Camp. I couldn’t believe it. I was walking to Boot Camp in the rain with no bottle of water and the last time I ate was over 6 hours ago. I felt like the biggest loser before I had even started.

Halfway through the first day of Boot Camp, I was leaning up beside a park bench being sick. I was the only male in the class and all the girls were doing just fine. At first I thought, ‘all my doubts about Boot Camp were true – this is ridiculous’. Until I clicked, the girls were the smart ones. They had eaten lightly a couple of hours before and brought a bottle of water. I continued with the class after 15 minutes. I was determined not to let anyone down in the team – including myself.

If I wasn’t starving hungry at Boot Camp, I wouldn’t have become so sick through it. I walked back to the car more embarrassed that when I started.

It was hard to rock up to another lesson – but I made it. I went again and again. I saw some people drop off – but I kept going till the end.

I found I was not just motivated by the money I had spent, or the weight I could lose, but also by Gary and his team’s professionalism. Every week we were not only motivated to exercise, but Gary could also train us independently within the group to suit everyone’s needs. This is because we are all at different fitness levels. This – you could agree - is extremely clever for any instructor to do.

Gary would also ask if any of us had injuries, he would bring out the lights when it started to get dark and a first aid kit was always at hand.

Gary is constantly committed to attending new courses on instructing, first aid and always updating and further developing his accreditation as a fitness advisor. Gary also has a strong base of networks – from Chiropractors and Osteopaths to physicians and podiatrists.

Gary has a website that has everything from healthy menus to articles on Health. Also exercise programs – where the person is actually moving – showing you how to do each movement.

I can honestly say I don’t know many Boot Camp instructors, but I would certainly have a strong argument that Gary and his team of instructors are second to none.

What was my outcome...

  • A loss of 5 kg
  • A loss of 1.7% Body Mass
  • A loss of 2.3% Body Fat
  • A loss of 5 cm around my waist

What about at the end of Boot Camp... am I going to stack the weight back on? There is extremely cheap online exercise program to fit the individual’s needs, and ongoing mental support is also provided.

Remember – Losing weight for me was a bonus – I toned up and I look 100% better.

I am not a famous personality (or getting paid) to sell you an idea. I am the average Joe on the street with a successful story extending my gratitude to Gary and his team. I am also wanting to spread the word. There is help out there and you’re reading it.

I do not know Gary and his team on a personal level – but would like to leave my mobile no 0425 *** *** for anyone that has any questions on what it is like from start to finish.

I am going for another 12 weeks to get to the next stage.

Remember – Money is nothing until it is turned into something.

Rob is a recruit from a corporate program we ran in 2008. The above story was submitted after training with us for a 12 week corporate fitness program with one x 75 minute session each week.
